Don and Chris Thompson
Located on old Route 66, Bourbeuse Valley Harley-Davidson® has been family owned and operated by Don and Chris Thompson since 1980.
The nearby Bourbeuse River has played quite the role in the business over the past 30 years. Not only providing the name of the shop, its rising waters were responsible for flooding the old shop four times in 20 years. After flood number four, it was time for a change.
Truckloads upon truckloads of dirt were brought in to build a hill next to the old shop, and in 2001, the new Bourbeuse Valley Harley-Davidson® was completed on top. Though the muddy Bourbeuse waters may come up from time to time, the new shop has merely been surrounded by a moat as its predecessor remains standing on the low ground beside it.
